Thanks for finally coming around. Oh how I’ve missed you dearly. Been stuck with weekdays for a while and man they are slow.
So what’s on the agenda you might ask?
Starting Saturday: Yum Cha @ Gold Leaf at Docklands with ze boys then shopping at Harbour Town (aka Ghost town that’s recently been a hit). Let’s see what bargains I find.
I’m in need of (I probably don’t need them but I really want, so I guess I could use “need”)
Sunnies, Work clothes, Tennis shoes, gym gear, jeans and anything else that’s up for grabs.. Ugg boots maybe? yeah. so practical :)
But first and foremost Crash is tonight and I have a feeling it’s gonna be a big one. Not in terms of people, cause I’ve never been able to predict that but.. we are a lot more organised this time round and we even have skit prepared. Thanks Phuong-dawg.
If you’re free tonight and would like to enjoy your night, I recommend you come. Come one, come all. There’ll be heaps of food, games, a message to get you going and friendly faces about.
Phew! what a week, I can’t believed that I’ve been working for 3 weeks already… full time. It definitely feels weird, time seems to drag sometimes and fly the next. All good though, I’ve survived my 3rd week at Middletons. Week 4 to look forward to next… but first ze weekend is here.
And it’s been a good one so far. Friday night, hitted (is that a word? lol) oh well, you understand. So hitted up Laser wars at the very new and exciting venue in Clayton. There were 30 of us and how a night when I thought I would be too old for turned out to be as Katelyne would use pre good.
Couldn’t have asked for much more re: the course, it was perfect for all ages, not too many ramps, but still enough to find a nice spot and hit ‘em from behind haha yes to being sneaky. Anyways, I still sucked even though I was meant to be one of the veterans. Was second last in my team. I’m pretty sure my little brother whose 13 beat me.
Never mind that because next up, a good workout workout would not be complete without…. good food and Nando’s delivered just that. mmm 1/4 chicken and chips with an ice tea. That I wanted but I wasn’t prepared to dish out 15 bucks for that. so I paid Chris 5 bucks and we got the Maccas family dinner box instead - much more reasonable. Then hung around whilst the dudes has band practise.
After 15 mins, I went to visit my bestie Ape-My-thoa-dawg Nguyen because I was feeling a bit blah. She cheered me up as she always does with her cheesy pick up lines, contagious laugh and positive energy. I’m glad your life is good atm. Keep it up bros.
Started this morning off walking to Armadale station to catch the train and I wanna pay tribute this morning to: how beautiful it was… the sun was out but not intense, the rain had stopped (mm the smell of fresh rain) and there was this fresh cool breeze that made every breath, very breathable.
Then met up with the homies, drove to Phillip Island to check out the site for the Conference at the end of the year yo! aka Phillip Island Adventure Resort.. I think. I’m getting quite excited about it. The facilities are breathtaking, they really have taken care of the place.
Then we had a BBQ by the sea, then had coffee/hot choc, lattes, gelatos and berry cakes. Then we went to inspect the Continental Hotel as well, as we’ve booked it just in case there’s not enough room at the camp site.
Now I’m at my friend’s place bloggin. Oh how I’ve missed bloggin. will try to do it more often.
Photos to come sometime soon, soon can mean… anytime.
15/4 - I’m not much of a morning person but what an eventful day it was today. I would’ve preferred to sleep in but with a huge appetite for breakfast on my mind. I had to hit the gym, and man did I hit it hard. Weights, cardio and abs. check, check and check. Daniel Ho would’ve been proud. nod.
So we went with the boys to Batch Cafe (100% NZ owned and produce yo) for brunch. Love that place. Been there for the third time this week and not surprisingly, ordered the same thing … for the third time. Advocado with fetta mash infused with lemon, mint, salt and pepper accompanied by crusty sour dough bread with a side of crispy bacon! ahhh heaven’s meal.
Went straight to DFO South Wharf after that to get some corporate clothing to start my new job on Monday and for those of you, who don’t know. I’ll be starting my role at Middleton’s this Monday @ the Rialto towers (formerley, the tallest building in Melb, now second to the Eureka towers) ok tam - aim to work there next… lol.
Anyways, so we were shopping then suddenly the fire evacuation signals went on, at first we thought it was joke so i kept trying on clothes, but then we had to leave and then all these firefighters were there. There were no sign of any fire, I think they just had to practise in case there was a real emergency.. you know how it is. gotta keep on ya toes hey. So made the purchasers after that. will show you in person if i see you :)
Took a nap. i know. how good are they amanda? lol. she knows. she knows ‘em well!
Cooked a mean pasta for dinner. it wasn’t mean enough (lacking meat) so I added chunks of steaks and boy it was heavy. I then thought to myself, might as well go all the way.. so I added……. drum roll *** cream cheese. dont worry, only to the portion that I had lol.
Then met up with the homies to see some stand up comedy at the Comics lounge. There were some funny moments here and there but I laughed harder sometimes because of the people laughing around me. They were lovin’ it. appreciating each moment. Good for you peeps. glad you had a good night.
Then went home. thanks for the lift amanda o and the tickets for tonight. was fun hanging with you guys (as always) we like… family hey. woooh.
Anyways, it is gettin late and I have a tennis lesson tomorrow at 9am. Fun.
14/4 - Today is my last day working at Holmesglen in the Marketing team @ Chadstone. So far.. so great! Had lunch at Nando’s with Wil (my skate buddy from 5 years ago, yes I use to skateboard believe it or not). I had the supremo chicken wrap and with peri peri chips and a small coke, which is always nice :).
Add to that, I have finished all the work that I planned for today so just gonna take it easy til I go home! Thanks Justin for all your contributions and recommending me for this job, that’s sometimes can be quite repetitive but it’s experience that I’ll remember and believe I have benefited from.
So I’m just relaxing right now giving this blogging thing a go… whilst getting paid. shhh.. (don’t worry, I’m trading my fb time for this)
Today has been quite different day to yesterday, in the sense that I feel a lot more free today, you know when you feel content with everything in your life? yeah that feeling. Home life tick. fitness level tick. feeling loved tick. so happy I could die? not really. that’s just a lady gaga song, which i hope is an expression of speech… Her concert was fantastic! loved the choreography for “Telephone”
Anyways, yesterday was horrid. Problems on my mind from home, that I couldn’t leave at home, followed me around the whole day and uncompleted tasks that needed urgent attention and I was worried that I couldn’t finish it in time. Anything else? - the gym though, was great yesterday. A great way to release one’s .. anger shall we say?!
Anyways - I did sort things out at home before sunset, so sleep was dreamy. I even had a dream but as with my other ones, I can’t remember it. You know how it is. It’s so clear when you wake up but then you forget the dream when you want to tell someone.
Today just got better - as I reached into my jacket pocket to check if I had my phone on me - out popped $15 bucks! woooh. $15 richer. hmm.. good “karma” maybe as I have promised Amanda to take her out to dinner on Friday night before cell as it’s her last day at her current job.
Anyways - hope you’re having a good day friends and a great sleep tonight.
